Luciana Salazar comenzó como modelo a los 4 años de edad cuando grabó su primer comercial de televisión, y a los 15 años fue considerada una de las jóvenes promesas del modelaje.
Luego empezó a cobrar fama con su aparición como actriz en el programa humorístico Poné a Francella. Si bien el hecho de ser sobrina política del cantante argentino Ramón Palito Ortega la ayudó a introducirse en el mundo de la farándula, fue por condiciones propias que empezó a hacer una carrera exitosa. Dada su exuberante figura, comenzó a protagonizar distintas obras de teatro revista como Pijamas, convirtiéndose en una de las figuras más mediáticas de Argentina.
Se dijo que Luciana tuvo romances y amistades con cantantes como Luis Miguel, Robbie Williams y Diego Torres y deportistas como Marcelo Salas, Fernando González, Nicolás Massú y Rafael Nadal. En un principio ella los negó pero dijo que reconoció que sí tuvo amistades con algunas de esas personas.
